Burnout Treatment
We Also Offer Burnout Treatment
Do you feel emotionally, physically, and mentally exhausted? Is this exhaustion affecting your work and relationships? You may be suffering from burnout. Burnout may also involve feelings of cynicism, depression, and lethargy, and these typically happen when you lack support, can’t take breaks from your work, or are in a job that feels at odds with who you are.
What is burnout?
Burnout is a state of physical, mental, and emotional exhaustion that is caused by long-term exposure to stress. It can occur when you feel overwhelmed, hopeless, or unable to meet the demands of your life. Burnout can lead to a number of physical and mental health problems, such as depression, anxiety, heart disease, and substance abuse.
What Are the Signs and Symptoms of Burnout?
The symptoms and signs of burnout can be different for each person, but they usually fall into four groups:
- Changes in mood – such as feeling irritable, anxious, depressed, or hopeless.
- Changes in behaviour—such as withdrawing from friends and activities, increased use of alcohol or drugs, or engaging in risky behaviours—
- Changes in physical well-being—such as feeling fatigued, sick more often than usual, or having trouble sleeping—
- Changes in work performance—such as making mistakes, missing deadlines, or feeling unproductive.
Burnout Treatment
There is no one-size-fits-all treatment for burnout, but a mental health professional can work with you to develop a plan that meets your unique needs. This may involve lifestyle changes, such as getting more sleep or exercising, or it may require medication or therapy.
At the Freeman House Recovery facility, we offer a comprehensive treatment programme that includes individual, group, and family therapy, as well as medication management. Our goal is to help you recover from burnout and live a healthy, fulfilling life.
